Tess' Baby Shower!

Sweet little Tess is having a BABY girl in December.
She is naming her Summer.
Because she is born in winter.
Just kidding...
Summer is our mother's maiden name,
so it's a beautiful tribute.

Michelle made a DELICIOUS pumpkin and cream cake.

Colette, Zoe, and Veda made me beautiful rose and pumpkin centerpieces.
These are the pumpkins from my garden!
Next year I need to plant 10x as many!

I made a poster for Tess and Summer to put in her nursery.
The guests filled in the dandelion with their thumbprints.

The adorable woman of the hour!

Lots of gifts to open!

Lots of friends to see!

The delightful Hudman family!

They even brought their own entertainment!
Ty's niece performed two songs she learned specifically for Tess.
So cute!

Our dear neighbor from growing up in Texas
JEN SOUTH!
What a great influence for good in our lives!
It was bliss to have her in my home!
Besides winning all the games we played,
she also wins the prize for driving the farthest distance!
All the way from Logan, UT!

Jackie and Evi,
the win the prize for coming the shortest distance!
All the way from downstairs!

The star of the show was my grandmother Shirlene Summers.
My mom's mom.

She is suffering from Alzheimer's and didn't remember who we were.
She quickly would recall for a short time that we were her daughter's girls.
And that made her very happy.

Every girl loves her grandma!
And this lady is no exception.
She is dearly loved by all of us!
I hope she never forgets that.
She kept looking at me and asking,
"Whose house is this?!"
"Where am I?"
"Can I get more cupcakes?"
ok maybe not the last one. haha.
But she was darling to be around.

Even Cora was sucked into her charm.
Grandma loves little kids and she rode Cora around on her wheelchair.

Don't let her awkward expressions fool you,
Cora loved her.
She wouldn't stop talking to her.
She loved calling her Grandma.

She even gathered up all the lovely pumpkin centerpieces for her.
And they counted them... over... and over... and over...

What a darling pair!
This made my day.

Richard worked tirelessly on the addition to make it useable for this party!
We still don't have carpet or hard wood flooring installed yet,
but Richard trimmed all the windows to make a frame for our lovely view.
9 in all!
