BRITTA'S BIRTHDAY!

Britta Bug is SEVEN!

We spent the day at school with her
sharing cupcakes and scented pens
with her friends.

They played four corners in the class
and SHE got to be IT!

Her sparkling eyes!

I think she likes it!

Side note:
Parker's best friend, Boston,
finally challenged him to a "suit-off"
at school.
Boston was voted more dashing.
Low blow to the kid who wears a suit everyday!
Parker has so much confidence,
that he wasn't even slightly phased.
But they were both kind enough
to stay dressed up for Britta's birthday party.

We went down to Grandma's to
open one more present!

...AND share our
Triple Layer Oreo Brownie Unicorn cake!

Maybe I was trying a bit hard.
But it was delish.
With ice cream and chocolate fudge,
are you kidding me?!

Wishes do come true!

Annual bathtime!

BRITTA BUG
What do you want to know about her?

She is just darling.

She is my #1 helper.
I have to tell her to stop helping
because there's nothing else for the others to do!

She loves group games
and tries really hard to get her siblings
to play with her ALL THE TIME.

Sometimes they comply.

She is still our "cat"
meaning that people have to
earn her love and respect.
It's a great quality actually.

Mainly because I have
earned her love and respect.
haha.
When she does loves you,
it's with her whole heart.

She is our true blondie,
with bright blue eyes
and a beautiful smile
that melts Daddy's heart.

Britta is ALL girl.
Sparkly high heels,
lip gloss,
dress-up clothes,
dolls,
pretty much everything Colette hated.
ha.

She is getting very good at ballet.
She has mastered all kind of splits,
jumps, and twirls.
However, we are taking a break from dancing
because she was feeling like
it was too much at the moment.

She's done it for two and a half years straight now
so I can't blame her.

But her teachers all say
what a great natural talent she has doing it.
So we will continue later this year!

She feels a little bit anxious sometimes.
She enjoys a lot of things,
and is always very brave,
but at the quiet of our home
she will express how anxious
different situations make her.
She worries the most of all my kids
about what will happen,
and what if something goes wrong!
We have to talk her down off the ledge
(just an expression)
pretty often.

She has an impeccable memory.
She never forgets a promise you made,
or instructions you give.
She can rattle off things like
every first and last name of the kids in her class
and their class number
and where they sit.
It's remarkable.
Like photographic or something.

We hope to also start working on piano again,
because she loves plucking away at the keys for fun.
So I feel she's ready to start learning actual songs again.

She has a GREAT sense of humor!
She is beginning to pick up on older jokes
and is very clever making up her own!

If you know Britta,
you can see why we love her so much.
She's a very special addition to our family.
