Mitchell's 12TH Birthday!

Mitchell is TWELVE!

This kid just always has a smile on his face!

Except when he is being pestered by his friends!

And he has a LOT of friends!

Great party!

(When more than two of these boys get together,

I am not above bribing them to be quiet in our house.)

They are a HILARIOUS group of boys.

They are all so clever and witty.

They are all football players, gifted and talented students, 

and new deacons passing the sacrament.
Mitchell has hit the jackpot with his own little Mensa club here.

In honor of his first year playing football

(and his party being the same weekend as the SuperBowl)

He had a delectable chocolate football cake.

"I wish the grass on this cake was edible..."

WISH GRANTED!

(That was the question that ALL the boys asked.)

"Can we eat the grass?"

I think they were almost disappointed it was edible,

but they would have eaten it either way.

You know your friends love you when they 

purposefully get you a HELLO KITTY gift bag 

on your 12th Birthday.

Expectation vs. 

Reality!

Richard nailed it!

Mitchell has a new apprentice.

Someone to pass on his Nintendo expertise to.

Mitchell, you are an exceptional kid.

He reads the scriptures,

he asks questions,

he passes the sacrament,

he sets goals,

he accomplishes them,

he makes jokes,

he gets straight A's,

he cares for his family.

He plays multiple roles in this house...

He is a supportive little brother and listener;

but he is also a fun big brother and playmate.

He is kind and respectful to his parents;

but he can be sassy and sarcastic to his siblings.

He dominates in Fortnite, Smash Bros, and football;

but then he tenderly takes the challenge to rock Sterling back to sleep

instead of just passing him back to Mom or Dad when he fusses.

He rarely needs correction,

but takes it maturely when he does.

My heart melts thinking about this sweet boy 

and how much he has contributed to our home.

He is our comic relief, our peacemaker, our middle child.
