October Overview
Fall wraps up in a perfect October!
As for Mitchell,
Lots of high fives were shared!
Hey! There's another one!
"Hey guys, when can we work in the next high five?!"
Ultimately they didn't make it to playoffs this year,
but they had fun.
They have an autistic kid on their team.
He scored two touchdowns the last game,
and that was worth the whole season
to watch his excitement!
Parker also had a phenomenal marching band season!
This is their award winning performance called
The Giving Tree
based on the Shel Silverstein book.
The signs in the back say,
"and the tree was happy"
Even if you don't watch it,
you should know they SWEPT every competition.
They won FIRST PLACE
every show!
This last performance,
they got an award for getting the most awards all season!
It was epic.
Good job marching band!
This October,
Richard needed to take a trip to Boise,
So WE CAME ALONG!
We took Sterling to Build A Bear
so he could get his first birthday bear!
While Parker played dress up as a Banana Republic model.
BOISE ZOO!
My kids were missing a day of school for this trip.
So we had to make it up somehow.
How about in a room of LIONS!
(or is that what high school feels like anyway?)
Beautiful wooden sculptures!
Cozy enough for a nap!
Now to the penguins!
Cora couldn't be happier.
Britta couldn't be shorter,
and Mitchell couldn't be weirder.
And the penguins couldn't be shier!
We hardly saw any.
Maybe they took one look at Sterling,
and knew it didn't matter because they
were the 2nd cutest creature in the room.
Mitchell finding his spirit animal.
Britta finding her artist eye.
She became the family photographer
through most of our zoo trip.
What a beautiful crew.
I'll bring them all home with me.
We were freezing,
and the tiger wasn't in a social mood!
We'll take this weird looking tiger anyday!
Cora can't decide,
the head of a red lion,
or the butt of an elephant?
It's been fun reliving photos from when we were here before!
Britta: Then and Now!
Cora Vs. Parker
on the camel
Parker Vs. Cora
with big ears.
Mitchell got busted by Britta in a leaf war
like 3-2-1-BOOM!
YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
Satisfying revenge...
Extreme regret...
Which sibling are you?
...all of the sudden...
BAM!
Car accident RIGHT in front of us!
Everyone was alright,
but their day was ruined.
Asking Abraham Lincoln what they want for President's Day.
(or maybe for Election Day?!)
Outside the Engineering building at Boise State.
Back and home,
work is waiting.
Fake napping is Colette's favorite hobby.
Mom and Dad were chaperones for a zoo field trip in Cora's class.
New phone background!
MELT MY HEART!
That's a keeper.
There was a tiger in this picture too, but who cares.
Trying out the play place at the mall.
I'm still a little tiny for all this ruckus.
I'll just drive us home.
Did I forget to mention something about October?
Oh yeah, HALLOWEEN!
Richard had the best display for his work potluck!
Colette workshopped a few ideas for a costume...
but it was all hot air.
I think Britta was made for this!
She is a perfectly beautiful Peach!
One of her besties was Luigi, and not pictured was another bestie as Mario.
What's this? What's this!?
Sally is everywhere!
Cora had her costume planned out for a long time.
I don't have a picture,
but for our ward trunk-or-treat,
Parker wore his Jack Skellington costume to be her partner.
Sweet older brother move!
Parker had several costumes this year.
Here he is at school as Simon from the Chipmunks!
He also went to a party with a date,
as Anastasia and Dimitri from the cartoon movie.
He didn't really even need a costume.
He is Dimitri!
YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
Or pass if you want.
I guess I don't care.
Mitchell as Gandalf the Grey
Sterling as my little Crocodile Rock
Or is he an alligator?
Depends whether I see him later or after a while.
Dad with his parasol.
I don't remember why, but he had a good reason for it.
Oh yeah,
IT WAS SNOWING!
That's why we spent most of the night in the backseat!
Nice and toasty!
Best treat of the night!
Some awesome neighbors made rice krispies
look like ground up zombie meat!
So cute.
