She's very quickly enjoying the perks of being 10.

Like lighting her own candles!

What a pretty young woman she is turning into!

I bet her wish has something to do with Mitchell...

Just for a little comparison here's 10 year-old Britta

next to not 10 year-old Britta.

 

Our Christmas decorations are allowed to stay up until

Britta's birthday!

Then we have to swap it out for her decorations!

As if she couldn't get any cuddlier. 

Her request this year was a party at iJUMP with her friends.

Britta has a lot of friends,

and I knew they would be jumping 

off the walls anyway,

so a trampoline park seemed 

the most responsible choice.

What a great group of kids!!

We love them all!!

Britta is back in basketball after a Christmas break...

But she's one-year-older now!

Watch out!

Britta is just the best!

She gets great grades.

She tries 150% at everything!

Plus it helps that she is kind of naturally good

at lots of things.

Basketball,

for example,

she just barely started last year

and she's already a top scorer on her team.

I don't know where she gets it from!

She is our cleanest kid.

Her room is always orderly,

color coded,

alphabetized

and her next days outfit

is always displayed complete

with all accessories.

(And she knows how to accessorize!)

The perfect matching hair clip,

bag, jewelry and shoes.

She is great at saving money!

She always saves enough 

to buy whatever she wants!

She is growing into a great beauty.

But the best quality

(besides her golden hair,

blue eyes,

and bronze skin)

is her happy smile!
It just chases the clouds away 

from any day!

She is very kind to others and always strives

the serve her family.

She loves to be the first responder 

whenever mom or dad need a kid 

to help with something.

She is developing a very good sense of humor!

She knows how to place a well timed

quip to add to any situation!

Something else she's learning

is how to argue her case!

She doesn't like being told no,

and will come at you 

from every possible scenario 

to change your mind.

Sometimes I just want her 

to accept my answer!

But I secretly am impressed 

by this tenacity she has!

She recently started watching 

Hannah Montana reruns

but she does it by herself because

no one else will join!

But Gravity Falls is a show

she enjoys with everyone!

She also watches a lot of musicals.

"Happiest Millionaire"

"Greatest Showman"

and even "Wicked"

are top of the list.

She is quickly developing 

a great musical talent on the piano.

She is patient with Mom as her teacher too!

I could go on, 

but it's starting to get embarassing!

And you know 10-year-old girls!

Everything is embarassing!

So we'll end it there.
