Here's some updates on how our school year is going.

THE PHD STUDENT

Richard has been super busy.

He just finished taking FOUR EXAMS in a row.

2 hours each.

It's been a long week.

He has been asked to speak a couple times for the school this year,

at some fun events.

Wandering around waiting for the fun to start...

Man of the evening...

Two of his biggest fans

Here he is at the 125th Birthday Celebration for the University.

(He is sitting next to the PRESIDENT of the school!)

We were all invited, and they even made us name tags!

They had fancy Hors d'oeuvres,

which gave the kids lots of toothpicks during the night to use as ammo.

Colette! Go easy on the Pepsi!

We promised the kids they could have a fancy drink,

and their choices came down to Pepsi or wine.

I would have rather she was hyper than drunk.

Here he is!

They only asked three people to speak:

The President of the University

The Vice President of the University

and

Richard!

All 5 1/2 of us were there!

(hyped up on Pepsi too!)

Another event was New Student Orientation.

They had Richard give advice to new graduate students coming in.

Not as fancy, but still lots of fun!

Needless to say, Richard has become a favorite here on campus.

I'm so proud of him and all the opportunities we get as a family because he works so hard.

And he still makes time to play MarioKart 8 with us at the end of the day too.

KINDERGARTEN!

Parker and Colette participated in their first fundraiser.

It was a FUN RUN where they earn money for every lap they run.

I thought they would do like 2 laps.

Parker ran NINE!

That's the same as 1.125 miles!!

Finally done!

Go Parker!

Colette ran 5 laps,

which is just over 1/2 a mile

nothing to sneeze at...

She was cute too, because instead of running down the line of cones,

she had to zig zag in and out of them.

Always having fun!

And this was Mitchell...
