Her Royal Highness will see you now...
I took a few pictures when Cora was about 6 days old.
Just to be clear that was about 40 days ago.
I already miss this sweet newborn face!
Life with 5 kids sure doesn't disappoint.
It's busy, tiring, fun and absolutely fulfilling.
Britta will kiss Cora on average about 60 times a day.
And the question, "Can I hold Cora?" Is asked at least twice that much.
At least she doesn't hate her.
But she just might love her to death!
Of course we all love her and can't stop staring at her!
Her sweet ears...
Her petite nose...
Her sparkly eyes...
Her tiny little fingers that wrap around your...
HEY!! Get you money grubbin' hands off my gold necklace!
And her royal highness isn't only stealing my jewelry...
She is stealing ALL THE ATTENTION!
As she should be.
We have had so many delightful visitors since her arrival.
My sister's family came to shower her with love!
(and a few shnazzy gifts)
Sweet Moriah here is about the coolest, nicest, most angelic teenager that has ever lived.
Which I can confidently say since I don't live with her!
My BFF Jennie has been a life saver!
Massages, cupcakes, visits, and
an arranged marriage between Mitchell and her gorgeous little daughter.
Phew, one less thing to worry about later.
And the glorious Aunt Michelle came to entertain and help us all stay sane!
We've been really cooped up recently.
Nothing like a marathon game of KILLER BUNNIES to shake things up!
Except Colette didn't want to play.
We felt sad for a second and then played without her! ha!
Sure enough right at the end of the game,
with only one magic carrot left,
Colette strolls up and declares she has changed her mind.
So we dealt her in with the understanding that her chances of winning
were none because the game was almost over.
She bought herself one carrot and ended the game.
The best part of this story is that the one carrot Colette bought ended up being
the WINNING CARROT!
After hours of grueling card play,
she swept in and beat us all in under 3 minutes.
She's a pretty happy girl!
Can you tell?
Mitchell's also a pretty happy boy!
He likes being turned into an emoji.
Aunt Michelle brought tons of games and toys to entertain the kids.
She also brought me a cake...
made of diapers!!
This is the kind of cake that ends up on Cora's hips, not mine.
ha. much appreciated!
Aunt Sydney and Grandma Nanette came all the way from TEXAS!
They brought adorable cactus print onesies and
Syd got Cora some Minnie Mouse shoes!!
Now let's play a little I Spy...
Can you find:
3 rubber chickens
5 Wii remotes
2 Nunchuks
1 Baby Cora
YOU FOUND ME!
Happy girl has just started grinning...
She really likes the sound of whistling.
And her older brother...
Back to day to day life...
After all the guests have come and gone,
it's just a home of 7 wonderful people trying to make a happy life.
