July Rainbows

Our lives have been very blessed to have more family come and live in our home.
Doug and Evi moved from Hungary after ten years.
We've had all month to reacquaint ourselves with each other.
We are obsessed!
The cousins have just clicked!
We never see our kids anymore because they are always on adventures with cousins.

Left to Right:
Mitchell, Britta, Jake, Cora, Colette, Zoe, Lara, Veda and Parker

Aside from everything else going on...
I just need to pause and acknowledge the beauty that God gives to us each day.
Double rainbow!
A double reminder that Heavenly Father keeps the promises He makes to us.

We have taken "The Other Skiftons"
(as we affectionately call them in our house)
on a whirlwind tour to enjoy Idaho in the summer.
Social distancing has got nothing on Idaho's glamour of nature.

Going to the zoo!
Do you want to come home with us too beautiful bird?

MESA FALLS!
Jake and Parker  &  Lara, Colette and Britta

Warm River

Veda, one of the twins, who is Doug's oldest girl (by a few minutes)
Is really an outstanding helper.
She is widely acknowledged as the kids "second mom"
She is always especially considerate of Mitchell and making sure he's included.

Colette was nervous about two thirteen-year-old teenagers coming to live.
She thought they would be too good for a ten-year-old (almost eleven-year-old)
Nothing could be further from the truth!
Veda brings out her artistic side with painting and nails.
Zoe really is adventurous and sporty which Colette loves too.
They are a darling little trio.

Lara and Britta have become sneaky little foxes also.
Five-year-olds on a mission!

Sweet Jake is just happy with anyone.
He particularly loves Cora
(who doesn't!?)
And always takes great care of her.

Heart exploding!
(Like Cora's pants...)

Playing the playground!
If you'll recall, in my Mitchell page
(click his picture over there)---->
I mentioned how he often wears orange shirts with orange pants.
Here we are ALL RED.
Even socks and underwear.
Branching out to new colors is a start.

On a final note, Richard took this picture as evidence for the psych ward when I get committed.
Apparently I'm losing it. Do you see it?
I tried to convince him that the Newman's Own Ranch was in my closet
because it was incredibly moisturizing.
But in my defense, a closet isn't really an unusual place to see salad dressing.😝

That's all folks! Thank you! You've been a great audience!
