Daddy Spotlight

On a daily basis

I pat myself on the back because of one decision

that changed my life forever.

It's hard to imagine life before Richard was in it.

I feel like I was just impatiently waiting for him to arrive.

I know how much he means to me,

but I now have the uplifting experience 

of seeing how much he means to his children.

He is Cora's favorite secret-keeper,

and always bottom the dog-pile,

 but never bottom in this family.

He reigns at the top of everyone's list of favorite people.

Especially mine.

He is my perfect balance.

My best friend.

I hope my daughters marry a man like their father,

and my sons become a husband like him also.
