See September

LET'S GO BACK TO SCHOOL!

Big step for Mitchell, JUNIOR HIGH!

Colette is off to 10th grade!
Go S'mores!

These lovely ladies are off to the bus stop...

Cora is in 1st Grade!

Britta is in 4th!

YAY!

(where's Parker?)

He leaves for early morning Seminary,
and so I never caught him
for a back-to-school picture.

He got his braces off,
and got his driver's license,
so he's basically invincible now.

But here he is in his handsome tuxedo
going to HOMECOMING!

This is his date Audrey.
They were great friends in Jr. High.

She introduced him to K-pop
and the saxophone
which are key elements of his identity now.

Then high school took them
to two different schools.
After Freshman year she called to say she missed him.
The rest is history.

It's marching band season!
Parker had a competition at Madison High School,
so our Rexburg family came to rally!
Genevieve is at BYUI now!!

Here's a snippet of their performance.
The theme is the Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.
It's great!

And when it's marching band season,
you know it's FOOTBALL SEASON!
Here's our not-so-little-anymore
Mitchell!
His team is struggling a little bit
but he sacked the quarterback first game!!
So our season was already made!

Aunt Andrea was in town to drop of Genevieve,
and she stopped by the game too!
So great to see her!

Sterling is approaching his FIRST BIRTHDAY!
Can someone rewind the year please?
Like if Superman reads the blog...
just reverse a year of my life.
I'm not ready for my newborn baby to be gone!

Sterling obviously doesn't know he's almost a year old.
He still sleeps in mommy's bed.
His crib is RIGHT next to me,
but he always ends up here.

We tried on a newborn hat!
haha more like a yamaka.

He is big enough to play at the mall.

And big enough to look down on
the other peasants that live here.
The pets don't know what to make of this kid.
They flee when he approaches.
He is either running them over
completely unawares in his walker
(which makes Richard and I laugh)
or he is stealing their toys and food
(yes, he has eaten dog and cat food)
I'm not proud.
Just being honest for posterity.
When he becomes a furry,
we can date it back to this for his therapist.

I spy something under the couch!

But I can't reach it!
haha

Best quality of Sterling is that he
LOVES TO LAUGH!

And Colette loves to tease him.

Cora loves to play with him.

And mommy loves to entertain him.

He is eating all kinds of new foods everyday.
He has loved anything that I've given him.
Of course they love the fruits,
but even carrots, squash, peas and spinach

But then came green beans...

See the difference! haha
So funny how much he hates them.

I try to spoon feed him,
but sometimes he gets impatient
and just grabs the food away from me!
Fine dude, have it your way.

Britta and Cora have a blast at their elementary school.
This was GRANDPARENTS DAY!

Grandma gets to come look at their classrooms,
watch them put on a show on the playground,
and visit the book fair with them.
(Well played Scholastic, well played)

Cora waiting with Grandma
to watch Britta perform the Mexican Hat Dance

The school also puts on a fall carnival
and this year, they asked me to do
a face painting booth!

I was so excited!!

Sterling wasn't.

But the kids are always
so eager to let me practice new faces!

And Halloween themed pictures!

I mustache you a question.

I am hoping also to appeal
to some sports enthusiasts.

Best part of the month of September,
WESTON came to visit us!!!
Michelle and Thad need to be here
for some work stuff.

Their plans are indeterminate,
so that means we get to snuggle Weston as much as we want.

Colette was shocked to come home to a new baby.

He definitely won't be lonely around here!

He definitely won't get naps here either!

Uncle Richard is the best!

Speaking of not being able to nap!
Sterling and Mom came to COW day with Dad.
Career-On-Wheels

Where he promotes scientific researcher jobs
by doing a cool experiment with
a Faraday cage.
(google it)

The kids had a great church activity at the local sand dunes.
Mitchell might still be there.

But all in all,
September was a double rainbow
kind of month!

Now comes fall,
what could be wrong with that?
