Darling December

December is always filled with magic.

This month took us on a special trip to SLC!
We made a stop at the Church History Museum

Each child found their favorite piece of artwork.

Then the kids spent time making artwork!

And building temples

and making General Conference speeches.
(remember this image, you'll be seeing it in the future)

We watched a great video about the First Vision
in a huge theater with a big screen that went all around you!
We learned how they made the first copies
of the Book of Mormon
(I've held one, on my mission)
That was my favorite part.

Britta left her testimony on the comment board!

And the girls practiced pioneer games.

We also took the family to Del Taco!
And Parker took the baby to the playplace!

A little height anxiety at first!

But I'll be ok if  my brother stays with me!
(what a stud)

Mitchell has so many unanswered questions about this place.

Colette is Sterling's #1 pal!

The reason for our daytrip to Utah
was a WEDDING!
Our Bishop's son got married near Provo.

They were so surprised to see us come that far!
But the pleasure was all ours!
Food and dancing!
Don't take me home ma!

Back at home,
December brought the end
to a highly successful basketball season for Britta.

While Britta plays basketball with her best friend,
Cora just gets to play with hers!

Two little rascals.

Such a cute little team!
But they do so well together!

And Britta has not only found something that she loves,
but something that she is actually pretty good at too!

She easily scores at least half of the points in a game!

But you wouldn't know it,
looking at her sweet humble little self!

Speaking of sweet and innocent!
Sterling has cheered her on every single game!!

Richard has too,
but he's a little too shy to mention it.

Once the outside gets too cold to enjoy,
that gives us lots of family gaming time!

And Sterling doesn't wait for an invitation.
He knows how to use a remote,
and don't try to fool him with one
that doesn't have batteries!
He knows the difference.

Warm baths are also a nice sanctuary from the cold.

Before Christmas Break,
Mitchell qualified for the HONOR BAND!
He performed in the Madison High School auditorium
after they spent all day practicing!

Mitchell is so cool that he can make friends
with all types of people.
He fits in great with all the band kids,
but all his best friends are also really athletic, sporty kids.
He has a great time no matter who he is with!

Now we anxiously wait for Christmas break!!
