Too soon, June

Time passes way to fast!
Don't blink or you'll miss what happened in June!

Britta had an incredible experience with Activity Days
They had the Holdman's come!
They are a married couple responsible for creating the stained glass art
in SO many temples around the world!

The both have overcome many obstacles
to be the talented people that they are!

Sterling being a complete HAM for 1 minute straight...
Let's just get the nonsense out of the way.

The boys had their Father and Sons campout!
Richard spoiled them with STEAK and LOBSTER!

Except... not ALL the sons got to go...
some of them still need their mommy...

Big sisters are starting the fill up the pool
and get it ready for summer!
Mommy says I can't get in...

Daddy fixing the kitchen sink!
I'll help rub your back Dad!

Reading a book
and watching Pocoyo?
Is it possible to do your
two favorite things at the same time?

Like playing at the playplace,
and taking a nap?

Or going to the Doctor
AND finding BUBBLES!?

Now that Summer is in FULL FORCE,
we take our bikes to the park for some fun!

But it felt more like a water park!
Mitchell and Colette braved the sprinklers!

And if that's not adventurous enough for you,
the kids are picking up new hobbies
like hatchet throwing!

It's not as easy as the movies make it look!

And we definitely aren't ready for anyone
to pose in front of the stump yet...

But it is so satisfying when it hits the mark!

June marked our FIRST RV trip this year as a family.
We went to Baby Winston's Baby Blessing!!
It also happened to be Father's Day Weekend!

Anji was there, of course, as Winston's Grandma!
She needed a Parker Selfie.

He does look pretty dapper, any day of the week!

"How do I look, Mom?"

We started the weekend meeting up with Lisa
at the Strawberry Festival!

The Firefighters make breakfast for everyone!

Then you can drive the truck!

Cora, Russell, and Britta found a great hiding spot at the playground.

"I FOUND YOU! Nice try."
- Sterling

At the end of our firefighter's breakfast,
the emergency helicopter took off!
It was shockingly powerful!

We later met up at Granny's for a burger!
We all dug into the classic burgers,
while only Colette opted for a chicken sandwich...
(foreshadowing)

Lisa was too busy taking care of baby Winston to eat her food.
Let's hope it doesn't make her baby hungry!

While Anji , however, shows definite signs of being baby hungry...
Yikes!

It was quite a drive to get out there,
but well worth the company!

Parker couldn't wait to try the onion rings,
and remember Colette got the only chicken sandwich?
Don't forget it...

Graham and Sterling found a cool place to play!

Mitchell kept everyone out of the street.

The kids tried to get every car passing by to honk!

Lisa's friends let us park the RV in their driveway,
and Sterling loved making new friends
just as much as they loved him!

We even spent some time with our cousins and our new friends at the mall!
These two boys banded together to make a boy band!

(Mitchell made me write that pun, I'm so sorry)

Now, prepare yourself,
also at the mall,
we went to DREAMWALK!
It was a crazy immersive experience.

After entering the portal,
you get a black light to show you the way!

Then we travelled around the swirly, twirly nebula...

It was unreal beautiful!

And then Colette went to Rio!
jk.
But the idea of this place is that you have been
transported in a portal and you aren't
sure what planet you will end up on!

Mitchell and Cora can't believe their eyes!

You better just see for yourself!

Then we found the glowing mushroom world!

And we contemplated just living there under the shrooms.

The glowing props not only COULD be touched,
but were SUPPOSED to be interacted with!
It was so cool!

The final world was a robot only society.
Parker asking for a drink...

Mitchell asking for directions...

Dad asking for trouble!
This fun "charging station"
would rumble and blow steam because
it could tell you weren't a robot!

One of the quests was to find
as many hidden UFOs as possible
with the black light.
Then you guessed at the end.
I found 12, and the guys said,
"Not even close!"
I really thought I had it!

Then Sterling had a present for me,
so we took the portal to the ladies room
to find a changing station!

We loved it!
I would easily come again!
Every kid had a good time!
Parker even ripped the sole off his shoe!!

But the most unfortunate thing happened
late in the evening in the RV,
Colette regretted that chicken sandwich so much,
she spent all night hurling it up.
I kinda questioned if Granny's lived up
to all the health code standards.

Then it was on to the MAIN EVENT!
Sweet Winston's blessing!
(You'll notice Colette's absence)
She was wiped out from her night of
regurgitating chicken.

It was a beautiful day for Anj's sweet family!

And now, after a jam packed weekend,
it's time to get in the RV and go home.

A lot of people ask me,
"What do you do with Sterling in the RV?"
While we are driving,
he stays in his carseat.

But when it's time for bed,
He sleeps in the same place he does at home...
...right in Mommy's spot!
