Going home - STILL IN MICHIGAN

 We decided to take our way home through the UPPER part of Michigan.

The affectionately known YUPPER.

Michelle's boyfriend, Thad, grew up here.

And who do you think we should find on our way through?

so fun to meet up in out of the way places.

Chelle was there meeting Thad's family.

Then we are on a Ferry off to MACKINAC ISLAND!

There are NO vehicles allowed on this island.

Only bikes and horses.

So we had to take a Ferry Ride over.

Who wants to sit inside?

It was a long Ferry ride.

We went under a bridge!

All smiles here!

Everyone was really hungry.

We went to the island and immediately started looking for food.

Let's just say it was a long way up.

And then we had to go into the Fort.

Whoa!

We made it!

Refreshments!

Totally worth it!

Now everyone is happier!

This place was so cool.

Great old trees.

Guards with drums and guns!

Such a beautiful place.

A great stop.

We chose walking over bikes or horses.

And we got to see a ton of great things.

We got some souvenirs, and the kids were done!

This is the governor's mansion on Mackinac Island.

So lucky!

Back on the Ferry!
