'Sup September

September started off with a BANG!

(or should I say a CRACK!)

Britta broke her arm!

She was swinging on the monkey bars

while Mitchell was playing football 

in Rexburg.

I'm always so concerning MITCHELL

will get injured at these games,

but now I've got to worry about Britta too!

She came running straight across the field.

As I was about to say

"GET OFF THE FIELD!"

I could see her arm flopping like jelly.

A man next to me

(who turns out is an ER doctor)

said, "that girl has a broken arm!"

He grabbed a box of crackers,

dumped out the contents,

and made a brace for her.

It was epic.

Then we went to the actual ER.

She was understandably upset.

Can you tell? 

It looks pretty bad!

They gave her medicine to sleep

while they set the bone.

Sterling didn't have medicine.

He just needed to sleep.

Christian and Siona,

who were there watching the game with us

were so good to take the three other kids

to get food

while we were at the hospital.

I think they rather enjoyed it!

(Mitchell lost his game by the way)

in case you were wondering.

Soon after, the hot pink cast was set

and life could be somewhat normal.

(except for the showering part)

Nothing a few chicken nuggets can't fix!

Well, Britta's injury aside,

FOOTBALL SEASON HAS STARTED!

Mitchell's back at it as an offensive lineman!

He picked out blue gloves

lucky for me so I can always find him!

(not like the giant number 25

under the name SKIFTON gives it away)

He always has his fan club tagging along!

(even with their broken arms)

Dad is in charge of holding my parasol!

While Sterling drinks my water!

We recently took Sterling and the girls

to iJUMP

He ignored the trampolines

and gathered highly sought after

dodgeballs!

Always a fun time

jumping off the walls!

Britta is FLIPPING OUT!

(this was obviously pre-broken bones)

And Cora is always going this way and that...

Cora's affinity for flipping around a trampoline

has earned her a spot in a new

gymnastics class!

The dreaded rope climb!

Challenge accepted!

(Cora accepts ANY challenge!)

While Cora is up the rope,

Parker marches across the field

blaring his saxophone!

Love the Robin Hood costume!

He just got robbed by Robin Hood himself.

The earring is a prop for the costume,

but the mustache?

that's all real.

They are already sweeping in the awards

show after show!

Then we caught a glimpse

of Parker marching down the street

for the HOMECOMING parade!

Can you spy Mitchell too?

We caught SO MUCH candy!

Richard turns an umbrella upside down

and twirls it,

so then all the students on floats 

want to try and make in it!

Genius.

SPEAKING OF HOMECOMING...

BEFORE SCHOOL EVEN STARTED,

Colette received a late night knock on the door,

with a giant poster asking

her to be someone's homecoming date!

The mystery man is none other than Justin,

from the Varsity football team.

She looks so lovely!

It was her very first date!

and what a date it was!

A Septodate

(I made that up)

but there were 7 couples!

The theme for the dance was Star Wars!

That's why the black and white.

(and the light sabers)

Parker also attended with his lovely girlfriend

Addy!

He was mostly excited about

finding a pink tuxedo coat 

to perfectly match her dress!

He went with a great group of friends!

OUTSTANDING in their field.

Speaking of being OUTSTANDING in his field,

Richard was again invited to the 6th grade

Career on Wheels day!

I tagged along as his fictitious lab assistant. 

Sterling wandered close by,

mostly hiding in the shade under the table.

This little rascal still likes 

to sneak over to mom's bed at night.

even though his is shoved 

right up next to mine!

But being the baby of the family

means getting away with everything.

Like not wearing shoes at the store!

(would you have noticed if I didn't tell you?)

And he seems to have

a constant smear of chocolate

across his face.

All the better to kiss you my dear!

and with that sweet little face,

we wrap up another month

at the Skifton's.
