Halloween!
We are getting our screams ready for a SPOOKY HALLOWEEN!
But the Halloween we celebrate this year,
will be in Las Vegas, it won't be here.
Stop #1 - THE PINBALL MUSEUM!
Who's pumped?
A cup full of quarters for EVERYONE!
Mitchell immediately swings to the Spiderman Theme...
Dad sticks with the classics!
(What do you bet he beat a few high scores?)
Cora won at EVERY claw game she played.
I think it's given her an unhealthy trust
in these kinds of games.
She walked away happy with a keychain and Elmo backpack.
Parker steered straight to racing.
Star Wars style!
Star Wars style!
Britta played a fun game walking around finding
quarters that people dropped and they roll far away.
She found about $1.75.
Everyone is a winner here!
Richard loves Pinball so much,
not only do we have a couple machines in a basement,
but Sterling's initials are SSS
for the sole reason that when he grows up
and is a pinball wizard,
its easy for him to put his initials
in the high score really fast.
On to the main event,
the real reason we went to Las Vegas is
Christian and Siona were sealed in the TEMPLE!
It was such a beautiful day
at a beautiful temple
with a beautiful couple!
After the sealing,
(and an after party)
We headed to Heath and Lisa's house!
Grant played in a baseball tournament this weekend!
He's a pretty awesome player!
He hit a double play!
He hit a double play!
And we loved sitting in the shade.
After the game,
we celebrated at Fatburger!
It was definitely worth the long wait!
And as the sun begins to set,
the spiders and witches and monsters awake...
It's FINALLY HALLOWEEN!
Here's the trick-or-treating crew!!
Grant was finishing his last baseball game,
but he raced back right in time for the candy!
Parker went all smooth and sophisticated...
At least half of him did!
I present Harvey Dent,
also known at Two-Face.
You can't see it here,
but he had a huge silver coin he flipped all night!
He gets a major A+
simply for being brave enough to light half his suit on fire!
Russell and his new dog Kevin
went as a gorilla and his banana.
Cora revived as Sally again this year!
Looking more beautiful than ever!
And who else should arrive but Britta
er, Captain Jack Sparrow!
The best pirate Vegas has ever seen!
Colette and Mitchell have been planning their costumes for months,
Mable and Dipper from Gravity Falls.
Such a cult classic,
and they nailed every detail!
They picked it because Colette
still has her braces on
but then she wouldn't show them haha.
Then of course, I had a puppy of my own.
Sterling the dalmatian.
And what a thirsty dalmatian!
Richard and his sister Lisa spent the night scooping
ice cream for the trick-or-treaters!
Such a great idea!
And if we did it in Idaho on Halloween,
it wouldn't even melt!
It was so nice to have a warm holiday for once!
We loved being there with Lisa and her many friends.
On the way home,
Richard kept the fun coming,
so we stopped at Scheels
to ride the INDOOR FERRIS WHEEL!
Too bad Sterling wasn't quite tall enough.
But everyone can see the aquarium!
I get you big nosed fish...
Hang in there.
They also had a shooting range!
No children were in danger for this picture.
Parker's got a sharp eye!
But it's Mitchell that snagged the HIGH SCORE THIS TIME!
Sterling thinks it's all too cute to shoot!
There's a bowling alley too?
Of course there is!
After a fun filled day for miles down the road,
we were only three hours from home,
when we heard something EXPLODE!
We limped the RV to a Walmart off the interstate.
And spent the night while we waited for their tire center to open.
But they didn't have the one we needed.
Being a Sunday in Utah,
not many places were open.
We found a place called Victor's
and limped the RV over.
The neighborhood was very Spanish,
and while we waited
we wandered over the local Market Rachero!
Right after the ice cream bench,
there was a self serve Cotton Candy Machine!
Step it up American grocery stores!
Sterling downing his Jarritos!
Nailed it!
(What is a Tamarind anyway?)
And the quesadillas at the cafe,
well they were about the cheesiest we've ever had!
Exactly one hour after we dropped the RV off,
Victor's had us fixed!
We were able to hit the road once again,
and finally make it home!
Where's your sense of adventure?
