Christmas Holiday
The air is cold and CHRISTMAS IS COMING!
We spent a great Saturday before Christmas going
ICE FISHING in Burley with Uncle Ty and Aunt Tess
There was a really exciting drive in the country
(we luckily bought studded snow tires the day before)
and then a short little hike on a cliff face,
but the result was this GORGEOUS lake side cut away from all the world.
Even though it was beautiful here, Richard didn't catch any fish...
Neither did Britta...
Nor Parker...
Not even Colette...
But we are still all smiles despite being fishless and frozen.
It's time to head home for our family dinner and hot chocolate!
Cornish hens will have to be our backup plan...
(sorry to keep harping on it Ty, that we didn't catch even the tiniest little fish)
After dinner, we walked around Burley's downtown Christmas display.
It was so cute!
What a wonderful town they have moved to!
Christmas Eve back at our place...
Check Parker out!
(bad pun)
Cora standing in our charades bucket
And then passing out in front of her sparkling Christmas tree.
Does she even know what is in store tomorrow?
Jackie bought Richard and I matching pajamas.
(Buffalo Check is taking over my house!)
And I'm not even the one buying it!
I think someone likes his Christmas present...
There is a lacking in Christmas pictures because we were on staycation.
And frankly it was just too fun.
We had BUCKETS of snow...
So Richard plowed out a bobsled-esque trench
and pulled the kids behind the four-wheeler in it.
Not everyone loved it.
But the Christmas spirit lives on...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
