Blake's Orchard - MICHIGAN DAY ONE

WE FINALLY MADE IT TO OUR CLARK FAMILY REUNION!

Clark style?

(Ok, we never say that. I'm sorry)

Day one, my brother took us to 

BLAKE'S ORCHARD!

It was October in June!

No pumpkins yet though...

we are here for something more delicious!

STRAWBERRIES!

The awesome covered trolley gave us a little shelter from the sweltering heat!

Awesome pickers ready for berries!

The trolley gave us a time limit to pick until our carton was full!

Strawberries, raspberries, all that we could get our hands on!

I may have mentioned what a Jane Austen fanatic I am.

Emma is my favorite of her novels.

Within the novel one of my favorite scenes is

the strawberry picking party at Mr. Knightley's.

It smelt and felt like I was living in my favorite world.

Mitchell's cute rosy cheeks and my fluffy hair 

are a hint of how humid and hot it was!

Time to show off your produce!

Andrea is pregnant with her and Nick's 6th child.

Still, they only let her get one carton full.

After we picked the berries,

we had a picnic of the finest donuts and apple cider!

And the kids were let loose to play!

Annabelle and Mitchell towered the giant hay stack.

While the older kids set off for the haunted house behind them.

Yes it's open all year round.

And no, I didn't go in.

I didn't have my safety glowstick.

Sweet Addie climbed up too, to see how far the orchard could go!

It was huge!

Then there was the race track.

These are like bikes, you have a pedal to win!

Or stand on the side of the road and wait for a ride.

Max happy to take the lead!

Parker happy to follow wherever Max goes...

The overheated Mavery taking a rest in the bushes.

Genevieve maniacally laughing as she passes!

Nick and Luke going all the way!

Isaac might win another day.

Addie's little bike is as sweet as she is!

But maybe Jack Jack gets the win this round kids!
