Adventureland

Ready to go?
We are on the way across the country... AGAIN!

We had a family reunion in Michigan at my brother's house.
We decided to take the RV of course,
and stopped for some fun adventures along the way.

The best place for adventure is
ADVENTURELAND IOWA
of course!

(and yes I mean this Adventureland in the news)
the accident in the news happened just two days after we were there!

GET ON THE TRAIN!
Going to unusual theme parks,
we find a great place to start is the train around the park.
Then you can see what entices you.

Around and around we go.
Always a carousel at the entrance of these places.

A first for some, though.

A favorite for all!

At least all under the age of 12.

Colette and I braved this mammoth!
The craziest part, is that is starting POURING rain
right as we were getting strapped in...
They ran the coaster anyway!
The accident I mentioned earlier didn't come very surprising to us.
This place was a little lenient.

The flying dragons seemed safe.

Don't worry, Cora was apprehensive about everything.
And yes, we were drenched!
The rain was relentless all day, on and off.

Colette decided to wear a knit sweater,
and since it was soaking wet,
it got longer and longer as the day went on!
Soon she had a sweater dress!
ha.

"My pants are always wet!"
just kidding.

Round and round the wagon ferris wheel.
There weren't a ton of rides that we all could go on.

Even though she swears she is tall enough!

How natural it is to stand on tippy toe when someone tells you,
"Sorry kid, you're too small"

We still have fun waiting in the rain.

Down the rapids they will come!
They will splash us too, though we are already wet.

Still happy.
Stay small teeny girl.

Rocking wooden roller coasters!
These are Richard's favorites.

Mitchell stating that Dad will come down THIS exact rail.

Down the ZIP LINE!
Don't drop anything!

Round and round the teacups!

Round and round again....

Round and round the airplanes....

Wait?
the carousel, the dragons, the teacups, the airplanes, the wagon wheel...
EVERYTHING IS JUST GOING IN CIRCLES!

Time to head straight home.
We've had enough circles.

Good night's sleep headed our way!

We are grateful to have left safely.
We were very sad about the accident in the news about Adventureland.
It was startling we had just been there.
Luckily, we didn't ride the rapids where the child was killed.
But still, my heart goes out to that family.
You shouldn't leave a theme park in that way.
Everyone should be safe and happy.
